Our farms are involved in a diverse number of communities and districts. Our people live, work and contribute in these communities. Our plant and equipment is supplied locally as are the majority of our inputs.

Our farms utilise the services of local contractors and part time staff. Many of our customers are in our local areas. We take the view that our long term relationships with local partners are important for us to achieve our objective.

On an industry level we contribute to district and national research efforts. Our people are members of local cropping groups, CFA’s, sporting bodies and clubs. Trials are conducted on our properties and results used for research that benefit the entire industry.

We utilise contractors for sowing and harvesting operations and our contractors businesses have grown with ours. We have affiliations with Marcus Oldham College and are developing new links with other regional institutions. Our suppliers are at a local and national level, which includes plant and equipment and technology suppliers. Our customers are also on a local and national level, with our end users including the livestock industry, feedlots, dairies, milling companies, malters and exporters.

Warakirri Asset Management established the Trusts in 1996 on behalf of industry superannuation funds. Since then has continued to build its position in the agricultural sector. Warakirri Asset Management manages specialist wholesale units trusts for charities, tax exempt and institutional investors. Warakirri Asset Management recognised that farming’s importance in Australia’s economy is generally not reflected in superannuation fund portfolios yet best practice farmers make excellent returns in the long term and this fits well in a diversified portfolio of conventional assets.
